Resolution for Common Sense Voter Roll Reforms

to Enhance Election Integrity

Voter Rolls.jpeg

WHEREAS, voter registration rolls across the United States, including in Nevada, are often not maintained or cleaned regularly as mandated by federal law, leading to inaccuracies such as invalid addresses, duplicate entries, and other inconsistencies that undermine public confidence in the electoral process; and

WHEREAS, these deficiencies in voter roll maintenance contribute to the potential for the generation of unlawful ballots, reduced election transparency, and diminished trust in democratic institutions, as highlighted in analyses from sources like Common Sense Elections; and

WHEREAS, modern technology offers feasible, cost-effective solutions to address these issues, including real-time reconciliation with state databases, regular snapshots and anomaly detection, and public accessibility to foster accountability;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Independent American Party of Nevada at its 2026 Convention, that we call upon state legislators, election officials, and relevant authorities to implement common-sense reforms for voter rolls, including, but not limited to, reconciling rolls every 30 days with county property tax records to validate addresses; conducting monthly and daily snapshots (especially 45 days before early voting) with public comparisons and graphical reviews; utilizing AI for uniform address formatting; integrating real-time checks with DMV, death records, National Change of Address (NCOA) data, and non-citizen lists; flagging anomalies in voter ID sequences, birthdates, and temporary addresses; ensuring daily updates during early voting from electronic pollbooks; ensuring no ballots are mailed to undeliverable ballot locations; and providing affordable, mobile-accessible public access to rolls in standard formats; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these reforms be pursued as a minimum viable product, implementable within 60 days at a modest annual cost of no more than $600,000 for most states, operated as a Software as a Service (SaaS) or state-run service available to all county registrars, while incorporating protections for sensitive voter identities including, but not limited to, those of battered individuals or judges; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Independent American Party of Nevada commits to advocating for these measures through legislative action, public education, and party platforms to ensure honest, transparent, and secure elections that reflect the will of eligible citizens.
