RESOLUTION TO REFORM ELECTION PROCESSES IN STATE OF NEVADA

WHEREAS election integrity is the foundation that makes peaceful, consensual self-government possible in a diverse society, and when that integrity is breached or widely doubted the entire system risks unraveling through declining participation, rising polarization, institutional erosion, or outright instability;
WHEREAS elections at every level (federal, state, county, city, etc.) involve several key processes, each of which should be designed and implemented in a way that is accurate, fair and transparent, balancing accessibility and security, and delivering verifiable results, ensuring that the outcome genuinely reflects the will of the citizens;
WHEREAS it is the duty of every Nevada State official to protect the integrity of all elections, addressing each process in a timely manner and based on real-world information that assures best practices, eliminates known flaws and issues, and protects the legitimacy of government, those processes including maintenance of current voter registration information, verifying the eligibility of voters, use of reliable and trustworthy voting methods, and reporting results in an accurate and timely manner;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Independent American Party of Nevada at its 2026
Convention, that we call upon state legislators, election officials, and relevant authorities to implement necessary processes to maintain and correct voter registration lists on an ongoing basis, to require verification of citizenship at the time of voter registration and to require voter identification at the polls, to discontinue use of electronic machines in vote tabulation, and to require reporting of election results no later than 12 hours following the closing of the polls; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Independent American Party of Nevada (the Constitution Party) strongly supports the repeal of AB321(codified in NRS 293.269911), which has eroded public trust in the election process, and permits the appearance of unfair – even illegitimate – activity, an optic which is corrosive to the electoral process, supports limiting absentee voting to active military and other narrowly defined situations, and supports limiting voting to one day at neighborhood polling place. No absentee ballots received after close of polls on election day shall be counted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Independent American Party of Nevada
(the Constitution Party) commits to advocating for these measures through legislative action, public education, and party platforms to promote civic cohesion and ensure honest, transparent, and secure elections that reflect the will of eligible citizens.
